2021 Volkswagen ID.4: The First All-Electric SUV To Look Out For

 After years of provocation with electric power concepts cars, Volkswagen is finally going to keep its words with the ID.4 electric SUV – which kicked off its journey as the ID Crozz concept vehicle. While it does not appear to be like the famed Microbus-inspired ID Buzz, the ID.4 is no less important to VW's goal of bringing in a robust lineup of electric vehicles. 

According to Volkswagen Service Greensboro, the ID4 will be able to drive up to 250 miles between charges. Besides, its impressive style and stance makes it a desirable EV.  At first, all ID.4 will models will feature only rear-wheel drive but all-wheel drive models will be part of the lineup in 2021. If everything goes well, VW is likely to launch the ID.4 by the end of 2020. 


What’s New for 2021:

While it sets its own identity in the Volkswagen brand, it is also the first in the series of all-electric models that will speadhead ID sub-brand in the coming days. 

Engine, Transmission, and Performance:

While all-wheel drive models will eventually join the lineup, the single-motor rear wheel drive models will be the first to launch. The rear-mounted motor delivers an impressive performance at 201 horsepower, whereas the dual motor all-wheel drive will crank up a stout 302. The advanced braking system helps regain energy when slowing the vehicle, and the ID.4 is capable of towing up to 2700 pounds. 


Interior, Comfort, Cargo:

The interior looks less lound than the ID, With retractable steering wheel and sliding rear doors, the ID.4 offers an array of high tech features, ambient lighting, and generous cargo space. The world inside is calm and clutter free. The 1st Edition model features accelerator and brake pedals with cheeky play and pause symbols. Cloth seats are standard; but you can have faux-leather upholstery along with 12-way power adjustable front seats with massage and memory functionality by opting for the optional statement package. 

Infotainment and Connectivity:
